Use the confidence level and sample data to find a confidence interval for estimating the population μ.

A laboratory tested 90 chicken eggs and found that the mean amount of cholesterol was 230 milligrams with (sigma)=16.0 milligrams. Construct a 95 percent confidence interval for the true mean cholesterol content, μ, of all such eggs.

So first is you have to convert the confidence vale into a z value that contains that percentage data. That first x should be x with a bar over it, that is, the sample mean. The z is the thing you just calculated, 1.96 in this case. sigma is the sample sd n is the sample size.then the answer is 230±1.96×(16.0/90−−√
