The correct option is A. The atmosphere is divided into four layers, which are troposphere, stratosphere, mesophere and thermosphere. In all these layers, temperature changes with changes in altitude. Of all these atmospheric layers, mesophere is the coldest; temperature in mesophere decreases with increasing altitude to about -100 degree Celcius. Thus, temperature in the mesophere is lower than that of the thermosphere.
