When n is divided by 14, the remainder is 10. what is the remainder when n is divided by 7?

The remainder is 3.
The dividend is the number being divided. The divisor is the number doing the dividing, and the quotient is the result. You'll need to do some algebra to find what n is. So you can solve this with:

Dividend-(divisor)(quotient)+remainder.

Using this formula you can find that:
N/14: N=(14)(1)+10=24 24/14=1 R10
and therefore:
N/7=24/7 =3 R3

I believe the answer is half of the amount as it would be for the first. It would probably be 5.
