Societal norm is defined as the usual way of a system or of course society. So anything extremely outside of those societal norms is not a societal norm.
Answering your question isn't simple because each society ( America society and other countries ) has what it consider societal norms. But I will infer that you are refering to the U.S., even then society changes every year. Something outside of the societal norm today would be getting married and having a baby by 16-18. Which was more than common in the 20th century in America but isn t seen so much now. :)
