Solve for x... I dont know what to do with the square root

√(x²+13)=2+x
[√(x²+13)]² = (2+x)²
x²+13=4+4x+x²
x²-x²-4x=4-13
-4x=-9
x=-9/-4
x=9/4

To check:
√(x²+13)=√(81/16 +13)=√[(81+208)/16]=√(289/16)=17/4.
2+x=2 + 9/4=(8+9)/4=17/4
