The statement, reflecting the graph of y = cos x across the y-axis is the same as reflecting it across the x-axis is FALSE. I am hoping that this answer has satisfied your query and it will be able to help you, and if you would like, feel free to ask another question.

Answer:

False.

Explanation:

The reflecting graph across y-axis

Rules of reflection :

Along across y-axis if we have a point
(x,y)\rightarrow(-x,y)

Along across x-axis if we have a point
(x,y)\rightarrow(x,-y)

here, we have y= cos x

So, along x-axis it will become -y=cosx implies y= -cos x

And along y-axis it will become y=cos(-x)=cos x

Hence, both of them are not equal

Therefore, false.
