A responsible adult will possess the following qualities - reliability, you can rely on them and put your trust in them, punctuality - you know they will be on time or have their work done on time, patience - you know that they are able to remain patient in different circumstances and not lose their temper. I wouldn't list friendliness as a quality of a responsible person. You can be a responsible friend but still not be openly friendly if that makes sense.
