The most effective question is what does the character learn. In most every story, the character learns something from their mistakes. The other questions are mostly irrelevant.

The answer is B. During the process of learning, any process, there clearly is some sort of development. If one has to analyze a character´s development what this character learns is the most useful tool to take into account. No matter what the nature of the conflict may be, it is what someone learns on the way that will prompt changes and obviously evolving and maturing.
