Explain how power is determined within the context of electricity/circuitry.

When voltage (in volts) and current (in amperes) are multiplied with each other, the result is power (watt). Since voltage (V) is equal to current (I) times resistance (R), power is also equivalent to the square of the value of the current times the resistance.
