a percent of the federal government taxes goes into  heath care, jobs and family's security, education and job training is just small portion of the stuff the government spends there money on. One big one  is that the federal taxes are going to national defense/ military. national defense wouldn't be around if there was no taxes that's why we have taxes to help pay for those things.

The taxes imposed on the masses are also supposed to help the masses. For instance, free breakfast at schools are made possible from government programs funded with the taxes. In short, taxes help fund government programs that help the majority of people.
