Explanation: The steel production is completely dependent on the coal or we can say the decomposition of the residual coal is used. The coaking coal is cleaned and the impurities are removed from the coaking coal which converts it into Coke.

The coke is then liquefied and softened into hard but porous lumps when it is heated in absence of air.

Then further processes are carried out in the furnace for the production of steel.
