How does Tybalt affect the play Romeo and Juliet?

Tybal is the culprit of the exile of Romeo from Verona. If he wouldn't have killed Mercutio, Romeo wouldn't have angered nor killed Tybal and he wouldn't have been exiled. Then, if Romeo wouldn't have been exiled due to Tybalt's death, Juliet wouldn't have thought about a plan to run away with Romeo and give up everything with pretending to be dead.
