Land dwelling herbivores have flatter teeth, to help with chewing plants (as opposed to canines to rip through flesh). They also have a longer intestinal track, this is because plants don't putrefy in the body as quickly as raw meat will, so a longer intestinal track doesn't hurt herbivores.
