Explain when is a rational expression restricted.

restricted values are when you get things that aren't allowed
the 2 main ones are

1.having a negative result under the squaer root sign

2. dividing by zero


example
√(x-3)=y
x cannot be any number less than 3

example the equation 3/x, 0 is a restricted value for x
3/(x+2), -2 is a restricted value for x
