She awoke trembling. Did the door just slam shut? She glanced at the open window, the curtains flapping with the breeze. It must have been the wind. She laid her head back on the pillow and closed her eyes. Suddenly, her eyes shot open. She didn't open the window before going to sleep.

I would have to say C.) Shot open. because it let's the reader immediately know she is scared. Therefore giving you the tone of the passage.
