It is important to know currency exchange rates when travelling to other countries, whether for business, holidays or to emigrate. This is because you need to know how much money to exchange in your country's currency to fund your trip abroad. Other times when it is valuable to know the exchange rate are when you are working in the economics industry or need to understand financial rates, for example when making global investments.
