we can either just mutiply them and add them
(area=legnth times width)
or we can use Surface Area formula (which can be found for only rectangular prisms)

SA=2(LW+LH+WH)

L=4
W=2
H=2
sub
SA=2(4*2+4*2+2*2)
SA=2(8+8+4)
SA=2(20)
SA=40

answer is 40 ft^2
