Who was the first president to live in the white house?

John Adams

During george washingtons years of precidency the white house was under construction (being built). And the next president was able to live there, John Adams.

It was president John Adams who occupied the White House as the first one ever. He lived there since the 1st November of 1800. The building was known as the President's Mansion at that time.
