Where did most immigrants go to get a job during the 1800's

Most of the immigrants at that time went to find jobs at factories. The factories would hire immigrants because they were willing to work 10 to 12 hours a day, 6 days a week.

They went to do industrial labor at factories because the businesses thought it would be cheap labor making the head of the company get more money by hiring them for cheap.
