To present facts in a memoir an author uses vivid narrations of life experiences. To present opinions an author just most likely states opinions/ideas.

Regarding present facts, author describes behaviors of individuals, dialogs drawing from those behaviors, descriptions of real people, places and events.

Regarding present opinions, memoir shows author's comments, his statements and concept of some kinda belief referring to the event.
