Go ahead and isolate the -2n

-2n=17-5 (I isolated the -2 and brought the 5 over and changed the sign)

-2n= 12 (Subtract 17 and 5)

n=-6 (Divide!!!)

Hope this helped you!! :)))

First we are going to simplify both sides of the equation:
5−2n=17
Simplify:
5+2n=17
2n+5=17
Second we are going to subtract 5 from both sides:
2n+5−5=175
2n=12
Finally we are going to divide both sides by -2:
2n/−2=12/2
Answer:
n=−6I hope this helps you!
