The first half make it 2, then the second half makes it 4, then the last half makes it 8 brownies. 8 brownies is your answers.

when she halves them, she doubles the number of brownies since she halves all of them
1 at first
halves it so double 1 and get 2
then cut those in half so doubled each
2 times 2=4
other direction?
