How does inertia affect a person without a seat belt?

first it can throw them out the window of a car
second there are just too many possibilities

"an object in motion stays in motion" so without the seatbelt there to stop the person's body they will keep moving forward until another force stops them. Without the seatbelt, the person will fly forward, possibly through the windshield, onto the road.
