The plow was to the agricultural society as the steam engine was to the industrial society. Agriculture got a great boost with the invention of the plow as it made cultivation faster and easier. Similarly the invention of the steam engine made industrial products move faster and to far away places. This helped the industries garner bigger amount of profits.
