Chest deformities can be responsible for the death of a person as well. These deformities result in the increase of pressure in the chest and build up of carbon dioxide. This carbon dioxide build up will always disrupt the flow or volume of oxygen that is required by a person. This results in a situation that is known by the term hypercapnia.
