Developmental disabilities cannot be cured is a true statement - the problem with developmental disabilities is that they have a lifelong and incurable characteristic to them, meaning that we cannot hope to cure them as we would cure a acute illness. One example of this would be autism for example.

People with developmental disabilities have mental or physical impairments that damaged their language, mobility, or learning ability

Until this day, eventhough we have found various ways to help them make their life easier, we still can't cure the core cause of it
