First, add 10 and 10 because you know that is the length of two sides (because they're equal). When you do that, you get 20. 50-20=30. Then you need to divide by two to find the length of 1 of the remaining sides. When you do that you get 15. So the length is 15 inches.

the answer is 15 inches. because the opposite side to 10 inches is the same we can subtract 20 from 50. that leaves us with 30. divide that by two and you get 15.
