Explanation:

Surface Area = (length)(width) + 2(length)(height) + 2(width)(height)

I am multiplying each of these by two because there is two of each shape. The exception is the (length)(width). You will only put icing on the top of the cake and not the bottom of the cake.

Surface Area = (19)(26) + 2(19)(4) + 2(26)(4)

= 494 + 152 + 208

= 854 square inches

Multiply by 0.02

854 x 0.02 = $17.08
