Explanation
Electromagnetic waves are waves that do not require material medium for propagation. For example x-rays, UV and gamma rays.
From the wave equation, V= λf, when the wavelength is short the frequency is high.
Frequency determines the intensity of the wave. When high the frequencies are high the waves has more penetrating power, hence
more powerful.
