1) women began to do the jobs that the men used to do . they worked in factories and on fighter plants .


2) Also set new standard of female participation in wars , pilots , nurses .


3) Women married earlier and had more children and relied much less on their husbands after the war


4) Women went into the workplace and never looked back .


5) Many other nursing sisters were lost in ship sinking's on the passage to Europe , when they ship were sunk by U-boats
