A line passes through (-2, -3) and (4, -6) what is the slope of the line ?

The slope,  or gradient, of the line is 6/-3 which is -2. The gradient is -2.

The slope is the change in Y over the change in X.

Slope = (-6 - -3) / ( 4 - -2)

Slope = (-6+3) / ( 4 +2)

Slope = -3/6

Slope = -1/2
