An ordered pair tells you how many units left and right you move (the x value) and how many units up and down you move (the y value) from the origin (where the x & y lines meet in the middle). An ordered pair is in the form of (x, y). Positive x values move right and negative x values move left. Positive y values move up and negative y values move down.
