STEP 1:
Change the decimal being divided into a whole number.
EXAMPLE:
0.072÷0.04→0.072÷4
STEP 2:
If you had to move the decimal over 2 times then you move the decimal over 2 times in the other decimal.
EXAMPLE:
0.072÷0.004→0.072÷4→7.2÷4
Hopefully that helped!
EXAMPLE 2:
0.025÷0.05→0.025÷5→2.5÷5 BECAUSE in 0.05 I moved the decimal over twice →
BEFORE
0.005→
THEN
00.5→
LAST
5.\ 5!
Then you do the same with the other decimal! Since I moved the decimal twice in 0.05 then I move the decimal twice in 0.025!
BEFORE
0.025→
THEN
0.25→
LAST
2.5! And there you have it! After ask the you divide like normal and lastly you bring the decimal up!
2.5÷5=0.5!

Don't forget to bring the decimal up from here→2.5!
