The angles are supplementary so they add up to 180 degrees. The equation would be

x + 3x + 54 = 180
4x = 180-54
4x = 126
x = 31.5 degrees

1st angle is 31.5 degrees
2nd angle is 3x+54 = 148.5 degrees.

To check 148.5+31.5 = 180
