How can global warming lead to changes to the Earth’s surface?

As the earth warms, the oceans become warmer, melting ice caps, re-routing ocean currents that drive weather. Ocean levels will rise, flooding low lying areas. Climate zones will be replaced with different climates.

the polar ice caps will melt and the sea levels will rise which could possibly drown some islands and parts of countries
