How do i write 11 5/8 as an improper fraction

You can start looking at the fraction, the denominator is 8 so therefore a singular whole number would be 8/8. That first 8, the numerator, is one of the 11 whole numbers so if you multiply the numerator alone by 11 you get 88/8, carrying over the extra 5 you get 93/8

1) Simplify Fraction
⇒ Multiply denominator with whole number
8 x 11 = 88

⇒ Answer of multiplication and add the numerator
88 + 5 = 93

93/8 is improper Fraction.
