When a quarter of the population is killed by disease, it will affect the survivors in many ways. They will be physically weak from disease, emotionally scarred, and left without people they love, as well as people who filled important roles in society. There will be a time of mourning, and it will take time to recover. They will have to learn to accept a new normal.
