The incompetent government massacres on bloody Sunday and the high cost of World War I were causes of the Russian Revolution. The Russian Revolution was a pair of revolutions that occurred in Russia during 1917 which resulted in the removal of the Tsarist autocracy and in turn led to the rising of the Soviet Union.

All of these are the causes that led to the Russian Revolution. The Russian Revolution consists of two revolutions actually and those are the February Revolution and the October Revolution. The Russian Revolution led to the end of Tsarists autocracy and led to the rise of the Soviet Union.
