The famous conflict in which Jim Bowie and Davy Crockett refused to capitulate is the battle of Alamo. The battle was led by William Travis and lasted till March 6 1836. Both Jim Bowie and Davy Crockett along with William B Travis died in the battle which is vital point in the Texas war of Independence.
