What you want to do is solve for x by isolating it on one side. To do this, you must get rid of the constant values on the side of the x to get it by itself. So first you would add 8 to both sides first because of PEMDAS and whatever you do to one side of an equation you must to the same thing to the other side. This leaves us with 23=3x. We must get rid of the 3 to isolate the variable, so divide 3 by both sides. This will leave you with 7.6 repeating=x.
