I would say that Homer's epic "The Odyssey" was composed in
B. dactylic hexameter
. It is also called heroic hexameter because it provides an epic work with an elevated tone. Hexameter means that each line has six feet. Most frequently, all the feet are dactyls (containing one long and two short syllables), but sometimes they would be replaced with spondees (two long syllables).
