Patient’s information is private and confidential, which means it is not accessible to the public. If you need a patient’s information, part or whole of it, you should secure a written consent from the patient itself. The consent should state which information would be accessed and the purpose of access. Acquiring patient’s information without consent is illegal in most countries.
