The General Agreement on Triffs and Trade (GATT), formed in 1948, was an international trade treaty. It was made to increase the economic recovery of countries after WWII. It's main purpose was to expand international trade and eliminate obstacles that interfered with it. It was replaced with the World Trade Organization (WTO) in 1995, it counts with 123 member countries.
