Hello,

In order to multiply them together, we cannot multiply mixed number (1 2/3) SO we need to turn it to an improper fraction which you multiply the denominator (3) by the whole (1) and then add that number to the numerator (2). That answer will be the numerator and the denominator will stay the same.

So, 1 2/3 is 5/3 as an improper fraction. Now we can multiply:

5/3 * 6 = 30/3 = 10

The answer in lowest terms is 10.

Hope this helps!
