Assuming that an experiment's results are 10.1 10.4 and 10.6, find the mean , the average deviation from the mean the standard deviation from the mean and the relative deviation from the mean

Mean:


10.1 + 10.4 + 10.6 = 31.3


31 / 3 = 10.3

Average deviation:


= | (10.1 – 10.3) | + |(10.4 – 10.3)| + |(10.6 – 10.3) |

= √ 1/ n (Summation of x – mean)^2


= √ 1/3 (0.2)^2


= √ 1/3 * 0.04


= √ 0.01


= 0.1

Relative Deviation


= standard dev / mean x 100%

= 0.0097 x 100


= 0.97%
