Catonia is typical clinical schizophrenia which includes stupor, or no interaction with the environment, catelepsy, which is freezing up in unusual body positions, and waxy flexibility, in which if a person moves the schizophrenics arm into a position, the schizophrenic will hold that position. The positions are often uncomfortable, but the schizophrenic holds that position for hours. Catelepsy is freezing in awkward positions. The patient does not talk during catelepsy.
