To solve for a the g equation gets the output of the f equation. So (g-f(x)(3) = g(f(3)) I assume we are multiplying because that is what it looks like. The picture is not clear

So insert 3 for f(x)=3x+2
f(x)=3x+2
f(x)=8
Now insert 8 where the x is located for g
g(f(3))=2(8)^2
g(f(3))= 128
