Of all the contemporary perspectives in psychology, the one that asserts that behavior is learned from interactions with the environment is the Behavioral Approach (also known as Behaviorism). The behavioral approach views people as controlled by their environment and asserts that we are essentially the product of what we have learned from our environment.
