Osiris's brother Set killed him in order to take his throne. Osiris was considered a god, and he was a King of Egypt at the time; his brother, Set, was the next in line for the throne. Set murdered his brother Osiris because he wanted to take Osiris's spot as the King of Egypt. Hope this helps!
