Jose Julian Marti Perez was a Cuban intellectual and revolutionary philosopher.

His goals for a Free Cuba reveal a very forward-thinking philosophy. He wanted Cuba to be independent from Spain, but at the same time he saw the US expansionism as threat.

He also believed in democracy and freedom for Cuba. Some scholars relate his works with support of Socialism during Castro's administration.
